This study cycle accepts candidates who submit their application via the institutional entry admission and have obtained a positive score on one of the following national exams:- 11 História
or- 17 Matemática Aplicada às Ciências Sociais
or- 18 Português
National access competition/tender: Having completed the 12th grade; A grade higher than 95 points (range 0-200), in the following entrance exams: 11-History 17-Mathematics Applied to Social Sciences 18-Portuguese Entry competition/tender: Course changes; Transfers; Returns. In accordance with Decree 401/2007, of April 5. Special competition/tender for those over the age of 23: On completing 23 years of age by the 31st of December of the preceding year Those not entitled access to higher education (if they have undertaken and been approved in the entrance test for the college they want to enter, they are entitled to the referred access). The Degree in Applied Communication offers an integrated acquisition of knowledge, skills and competences in the area of Communication and in the predominant areas of Advertising and Marketing. Through teaching practices centered on the student and his future needs in the job market, analyzes and debates from theoretical sources and successful cases are promoted as well research works and practical classes that integrate the subjects of the communication areas. In this context, the practical component of the Atelier with application of knowledge in the field and study visits with the aim of preparing students in the fields of knowledge and know-how as a guarantee of their professional success is highlighted. Noteworthy is the organization of conferences, with external guests, which allow a permanent update of the needs demanded by professional activities, through the exchange of impressions and feedback, essential for the improvement of learning. One of the main objectives of the Degree in Applied Communication is the promotion of extracurricular activities that disseminate the work of students, through external services and partnerships. Students attending this course can choose their professional area in the field of Applied Communication, developing in their academic training a knowledge and know-how that, in a balanced way, allows them to successfully enter the world of work and in pursuit of studies in subsequent study cycles.
