The aim of this course is to accompany students through the process of transforming a script into audiovisual narrative content (fiction and non-fiction). Thus, the practical application of concepts and methodologies involved in the production of fictional and non-fictional genres is promoted, integrating the various stages of production, within the scope of the final short film projects of the degree. The main aim of this curricular unit is to provide students with advanced project and program management skills in the context of audiovisual and cinematographic production, equipping them with skills specific to film production, going through the different stages of production and realization of an audiovisual and cinematographic product in practice.

Image capture techniques for a cinematographic narrative as well as scene coverage techniques for a fiction and non fiction film. The meaning and symbolism of the various shots and camera movements to be applied in film production, whether fiction or non-fiction. 1. The short film in process Fiction and Non-Fiction. Case studies. 2. Preparing for the shoot: Planning and analyzing the key aspects of ongoing film projects. 3. Preparation for the shoot: Planning to be presented by the directing and production teams to the work files of the other artistic specialties involved. 4. Preparing for the shoot: Monitoring work prior to the shoot. 5. Shooting: Monitoring the work during the shooting period. 6. Editing and Post-Production: Monitoring work in progress. Sem possibilidade de exame, devido à forte componente de aprendizagem técnica em contexto de trabalho em equipa e na perspetiva de desenvolvimento de um projeto audiovisual inerente aos conteúdos programáticos da UC. A importância de uma aprendizagem em processo de trabalho coletivo justifica um regime de avaliação específico sendo avaliado todas as etapas evolutivas do projeto e a interação técnica e criativa com as várias valências da produção audiovisual e multimédia. Avaliação contínua conforme ao resultado do trabalho desenvolvido pelo aluno na função desempenhada, de acordo com os critérios seguintes: - Participação e Interesse e trabalho em aula (20%) - Apresentações em aula e teor dos documentos de trabalho preparatório (20%) - Prova Escrita ¿ Questões de Produção e Realização (20%) - Relatório final de autoavaliação a apresentar individualmente (20%) - Curta-Metragem Final (30%)
Without possibility of examination, due to the strong component of technical learning in the context of team work and in the perspective of developing an audiovisual project inherent to the programmatic contents of the UC. The importance of learning in a collective work process justifies a specific evaluation regime, evaluating all the evolutionary stages of the project and the technical and creative interaction with the various valencies of audiovisual and multimedia production. Continuous assessment according to the result of the work developed by the student in the function performed, according to the following criteria: - Participation and Interest and work in class (20%) - Presentations in class and content of preparatory work papers (20%) - Written Test - Production and Realization Issues (20%) - Final self-assessment report to be presented individually (20%) - Final Short Film (30%)
