    Syllabus

    Immersion in themes of interest to students for the creation of collections through desk research (online and offline). Identification of reliable information sources, consideration and evaluation of diverse perspectives, use of bibliographic references, etc. User study methods: observation, interviews, ethnographic methods, focus groups, analysis of users' daily routines in relation to clothing, wardrobe studies. Exploration of relevant textile techniques for Fashion Project I through online resources, interviews, and visits to organizations.

    Introduce students to the methods and processes of research (bibliography, Internet, fieldwork, etc.) for the development of high-quality projects. Perception of the direct relationship between the depth and quality of research and the quality of the final project. The theoretical-practical teaching method includes lectures on various research methods, examples of research applied to projects and their influence on the creative process and final product, and the application of some of these methods to ongoing fashion projects in Fashion Projet I.

    A avaliação será feita em base ao processo de pesquisa aplicado ao Projeto de Moda I e a sua documentação. Serão consideradas a curiosidade e abertura do estudante para incorporar informação nova, a profundidade e abrangência da pesquisa, a relevância e confiabilidade das fontes de informação consultadas, o design de métodos de investigação de campo e a sua aplicação, e a coerência destes com as perguntas que o motivam. A influencia da pesquisa no processo criativo de Projeto de Moda I e os seus resultados também serão considerados.

    A avaliação é contínua feita com base nos trabalhos realizados ao longo do semestre e nas participações ao longo das aulas, privilegiando-se sobretudo a evolução das aquisições ao longo do processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Só serão aceites trabalhos que tenham sido acompanhados ao longo das aulas pelo docente. A avaliação é continua obrigando os alunos a respeitarem as regras da pontualidade. Caso os alunos surjam após 15 minutos do seu início, ser-lhe-á marcada falta.

    The evaluation will be based on the research process applied to Fashion Project I and its documentation. The student's curiosity and openness to incorporate new information, the depth and scope of the research, the relevance and reliability of the sources of information consulted, the design of field research methods and their application, and their coherence with the questions that motivate the student will be considered. The influence of the research on the creative process of Fashion Project I and its results will also be considered.

    The assessment is continuous based on the work carried out during the semester and on the participations during the classes, with particular emphasis on the evolution of acquisitions throughout the teaching-learning process. Only coursework that has been monitored by the professor throughout the course will be accepted. Assessment is continuous, forcing students to respect the rules of punctuality. if students appear in class after 15 minutes from the beginning, they will be marked absent.
