Class Professional Practice IV

Professional Practices IV is a course of an eminently practical nature, centered on the articulated exercise of acting and dramaturgy, understood as inseparable fields within contemporary theatrical creation. Based on Espalhar Fel by Mickaël de Oliveira - a work inspired by Minetti by Thomas Bernhard - the course proposes a pedagogical path that engages the actor's work as performer, creator, and critical thinker of their own scenic dispositif. Throughout the semester, students are invited to engage in a process of practical research that begins with the dramaturgical analysis of the text - its enunciative voices, narrative structures, and formal tensions - and gradually evolves toward the creation of original scenic materials. The work unfolds through exercises in presence, listening, composition, and the relationship to word and space, fostering the emergence of a shared authorship.

Unidade curricular prática centrada na articulação entre interpretação e dramaturgia a partir de Espalhar Fel. O semestre inicia-se com a análise dramatúrgica detalhada do texto, explorando arquitetura formal, vozes, repetição, desgaste e tensões entre ficção e memória, bem como as operações de reescrita a partir de Minetti. O trabalho de mesa articula-se com experimentação cénica. Desenvolve-se reflexão crítica sobre autoria e teatro político, com leitura do prefácio de Rui Pina Coelho e enquadramento da dramaturgia contemporânea portuguesa e europeia. Paralelamente, trabalham-se técnicas de presença, escuta, composição física e vocal, ritmo e transformação da palavra, mobilizando conceitos como dispositivo e performatividade. O percurso culmina na criação de um exercício cénico coletivo e público a partir de Espalhar Fel, evidenciando articulação entre análise, prática e posicionamento artístico.

The course integrates innovative methodologies centered on a process-based and collaborative teaching and learning model. The work is developed in a laboratory setting, combining dramaturgical analysis, scenic experimentation, and continuous critical reflection. Practice-based learning is emphasized, through composition exercises and guided improvisation. Formative assessment is supported by regular moments of qualitative evaluation, self-assessment, and reasoned discussion of the materials produced. Shared creative devices are employed, fostering collaborative authorship and situated decision-making. The public presentation of the final exercise introduces a dimension of professional responsibility and engagement with a real audience, consolidating the integration of research, creation, and artistic thinking.
