Class Technological Innovation and Mental Health

  • Presentation

    Presentation

This course unit offers a comprehensive program on the relationship between technological innovation and mental health, covering multiple assessment and intervention tools (neuromodulation, wearables, digital phenotyping, mobile applications, etc.) and critically reflecting not only on the benefits and state of the art of technology use in the mental health context, but also on its impact, including ethical and legal risks. Given the exponential technological evolution in recent decades, the paradigm shift in healthcare delivery after the pandemic, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in society, it becomes essential for future psychologists to stay updated and prepared to consider and manage the use of technology in their professional practice.
