Understand the principles and major theoretical frameworks related to diversity and inclusion across a range of contexts; Develop a critical understanding of the processes of inclusion and exclusion in social, educational, and professional contexts; Develop attitudes of empathy, respect, and social responsibility towards human diversity; Critically reflect on the role of language and communication in fostering inclusive environments.

Teaching methodologies
The Psychology, Diversity and Inclusion course incorporates innovative teaching and learning strategies designed to promote active student engagement and foster a deeper understanding of the course content, including: The course recognises the value of collaborative learning and the co-construction of knowledge. Interactive activities, group discussions, and practical exercises are integrated into the practical component to encourage active student participation. The course makes use of case studies, film analysis, and the critical appraisal of scientific literature. Workshops on inclusive language and empathy. Field-based learning activities designed to promote critical thinking. Group project involving the design of an intervention project or an inclusion-focused awareness campaign.

Assessment
A UC funciona em modalidade de avaliação contínua, em regime presencial, implicando a presença em pelo menos 70% das aulas.
A classificação final resulta:

- a realização de um teste escrito (com ponderação total de 50% na nota final), que versará sobre os conteúdos programáticos dados até à data do teste. O teste integrará questões de resposta aberta.
- a elaboração de um trabalho de grupo com uma componente escrita (com ponderação de 15% na nota final)
- apresentação oral (com ponderação de 35% na nota final);
os objetivos e procedimentos a respeito do trabalho prático serão disponibilizados no moodle.
É obrigatória a realização de todos os elementos de avaliação e classificação não inferior a 9.5, na média de todos os elementos de avaliação.
Os estudantes que não tiverem aproveitamento terão acesso ao exame final escrito na componente que se aplica (100%).
