  • Presentation

    Presentation

The Curricular Unit Design and Management of Social and Cultural Projects focuses on the design, planning, implementation and evaluation of projects as instruments for social intervention and change. Students develop skills to structure and manage projects throughout the different stages of their life cycle, from needs assessment and diagnosis to resource mobilisation, monitoring and evaluation. The CU covers strategic and participatory planning methodologies, as well as management tools suited to different intervention contexts. As part of the Social Work programme, it promotes a critical understanding of the relationship between projects, public policies and community responses, preparing students to manage teams, resources, partnerships and funding sources in an ethical, informed and responsible manner.

  • Teaching methodologies

    Teaching methodologies

The curricular unit adopts a theoretical and practical approach, linking conceptual foundations to their application through active and participatory methodologies. Classes combine interactive lectures, project-based learning, case analysis, guided debates and collaborative work. The individual design of a social or cultural project is central to the learning process, enabling students to apply their knowledge throughout the different stages of the project cycle, from needs assessment and diagnosis to planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. This methodology fosters the development of analytical, reflective and technical skills essential to social intervention. The in-person presentation and discussion of projects develop communication and argumentation skills, while encouraging critical analysis and the exchange of perspectives on project design and management.

  • Assessment

    Assessment

Organização e participação no seminário 30%
