Presentation
Presentation
The CU is situated within the field of Pedagogical Supervision, understood both as a scientific field within ES and as an area of intervention aimed at professional development, reflection on practice and the improvement of educational contexts. It addresses the evolution and foundations of Pedagogical Supervision, the main supervisory models and processes, and the roles and competences of the supervisor, considering different supervision strategies and tools. It also includes the analysis of the contexts and levels of supervisory intervention within educational organisations, as well as contemporary challenges and emerging trends in this field. Its relevance within the study programme lies in the need to provide a conceptual and critical understanding of Pedagogical Supervision that enables students to analyse and substantiate supervisory practices suited to different contexts, integrating scientific knowledge, professional development and the improvement of educational organisations.

Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies
The curricular unit prioritises student-centred methodologies, active and collaborative learning, and the integration of scientific knowledge with supervision situations. The analysis of case studies and supervision scenarios encourages the application of theoretical frameworks to the understanding of different contexts of intervention. The simulation of supervision situations enables students to explore supervisory roles, strategies and processes, promoting analysis, decision-making and reflection on practice. Problem-solving and collaborative work foster critical thinking, evidence-based argumentation and peer learning. Tutorial guidance, the presentation and discussion of students' work, and feedback support self-regulation and the progressive improvement of learning. These methodologies promote students' active participation and the integration of the foundations, models, processes and contexts of Pedagogical Supervision.
