Presentation
Presentation
The curricular unit Construction of a Research Project is situated within the field of research in Education Sciences and aims to integrate and apply the theoretical and methodological knowledge required to design a scientifically grounded research project. It provides a context for articulating the definition and problematisation of the object of study, a critical review of the literature, and methodological decision-making appropriate to the research questions. The curricular unit also focuses on the structuring and planning of the research, taking into account the feasibility of the study, ethical principles, and criteria for scientific rigour. Its relevance within the study programme lies in its contribution to the development of research autonomy, the capacity for reasoned justification and decision-making, and scientific writing and communication skills, preparing students to undertake research in the field of Education Sciences.

Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies
The curricular unit adopts student-centred methodologies focused on the progressive development of a research project as an authentic learning context. Project-based learning, critical analysis of research projects and situations, discussion seminars and tutorials are prioritised, promoting the integrated application of knowledge and informed decision-making. The project is developed iteratively through presentation, discussion and revision, supported by formative feedback from the lecturer and peers. This approach fosters self-regulation and critical reflection on theoretical, methodological and ethical choices. The articulation of independent work, peer interaction and tutorial support promotes active, collaborative and progressively autonomous learning, aimed at developing research skills.
