This curricular unit aims to promote theoretical and practical knowledge on psychological intervention with victims of crime / violence, children, youth and adults. The syllabus presented was selected and organized in order to promote sustained learning, but also because they are essential to the pursuit of studies and the subsequent exercise of professional activity.The syllabus will be taught through the use of a variety of methodologies, in order to promote the understanding of theoretical knowledge and the necessary practical training.

Objectives
Objectives
This curricular unit aims to promote theoretical and practical knowledge on psychological intervention with victims: basic principles, models and strategies in different forms of victimization. Specifically, the following Learning Outcomes (LOs) stand out: LO1: Demonstrate and apply theoretical and practical knowledge about the main models, strategies and techniques of psychological intervention with victims; LO2: Critically and thoroughly discuss and reflect on the appropriateness and applicability of different models, strategies and techniques of psychological intervention to specific cases of victimization; LO3: Demonstrate oral and written communication skills, technically appropriate to case descriptions and systematization of the psychological intervention with victims; LO4: Demonstrate critical and reflective professional attitude in this area of knowledge; LO5: Demonstrate autonomy, standards of ethical conduct, and accountability in different victim intervention contexts

Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies
Program contents will be taught through a variety of teaching methodologies, namely: oral exposition, interactive dialogue, small group activities, peer feedback and teacher. The proposed teaching methodologies integrate a set of pedagogical innovation practices based on evidence, and adjusted to the objectives and contents of the curricular unit.

Assessment
Como referido no ponto ‘Funcionamento da unidade curricular’ deste documento, a UC adota Avaliação Contínua (AC) e independência de avaliação das componentes teórica e prática. Cada componente integra instrumentos de avaliação específicos, a saber:
- Instrumentos de avaliação na componente teórica: duas provas escritas individuais, cada uma das quais com ponderação de 30% no nota final. Ponderação da componente teórica na nota final: 60%;
- Instrumentos de avaliação na componente prática: um trabalho prático final, realizado em grupo e com ponderação de 40% na nota final - 10% relativos ao relatório final e 30% relativos à discussão/defesa. Os objetivos e especificações do trabalho serão publicadas no Moodle. A nota atribuída à componente escrita considerará o grupo como um todo; a nota atribuída à discussão/defesa será atribuída individualmente. Ponderação da componente prática na nota final: 40%.
É obrigatória a realização de todos os elementos de avaliação e classificação não inferior a 9.5 em ambas as componentes para aprovação à UC. Para cada componente, a classificação final é determinada arredondando às unidades o valor da méia ponderada das classificações obtidas nos instrumentos de avaliação que a integram.
Estudantes sem aprovação em avaliação contínua podem submeter-se a exame de avalição final (em época de recurso e/ou especial) de acordo com as normativas previstas para o efeito no Regulamento Geral de Avaliação. Os estudantes podem aprovar a uma das componentes e conservar essa nota, sendo-lhes exigido que realizem prova de exame correspondente à componente sem aprovação em AC; a nota final considerará a proporcionalidade prevista para cada componente. Os estudantes podem decidir não conservar a nota da componente com aprovação em AC, voltando a ser avaliados a ambas; nesse caso, as classificações obtidas na AC deixam de ser consideradas na classificação em exame.
A melhoria de classificação é efetuada através da realização de exame que abarca a totalidade dos conteúdos programáticos.
