This curricular unit aims to promote theoretical and practical knowledge on psychological intervention with young and adult offenders. The syllabus presented was selected and organized in order to promote sustained learning, but also because it is important for students to continue their studies and later develop their professional activity. The syllabus will be taught through the use of a variety of methodologies, in order to promote the understanding of theoretical knowledge and the necessary practical training.

Teaching methodologies
The syllabus will be taught using a variety of methods, namely ME1: Oral exhibition with the support of audiovisual materials; ME2: Interactive dialogue; ME3: Practical small group activities in the classroom; ME4: Peer feedback; ME5: Feedback by teacher; ME6: analysis and resolution of practical cases. The UC adopts Continuous Assessment and independent assessment of the theoretical and practical components. Assessment instruments in the theoretical component: two individual written tests, each with a weighting of 30% in the final grade; weighting of the theoretical component in the final grade: 60%. Assessment instruments in the practical component: practical work, with two specific elements - individual defense (25%) and report (15%). A rating of not less than 9.5 in both components is mandatory for approval. Students without approval can take the exam at the time of appeal.

Como referido no ponto "Funcionamento da unidade curricular" deste documento, a UC adota Avaliação Contínua (AC) e independência de avaliação das componentes teórica e prática. Cada componente integra instrumentos de avaliação específicos, a saber:
- Instrumentos de avaliação na componente teórica: duas provas escritas individuais, cada uma das quais com ponderação de 30% na nota final. Ponderação da componente teórica na nota final: 60%;
- Instrumentos de avaliação na componente prática: um trabalho prático realizado em grupo (elaboração de um breve programa de intervenção). Este trabalho inclui dois elementos específicos de avaliação: a) relatório escrito em grupo com uma ponderação de 15%; b) defesa oral individual do trabalho com uma ponderação de 25%. Os objetivos e especificações do trabalho serão publicadas no Moodle. Ponderação da componente prática na nota final: 40%.
É obrigatória a realização de todos os elementos de avaliação e classificação não inferior a 9.5 em ambas as componentes para aprovação à UC. Para cada componente, a classificação final é determinada arredondando às unidades o valor da média aritmética ponderada das classificações obtidas nos instrumentos de avaliação que a integram. Estudantes sem aprovação podem submeter-se a exame na época recurso, mas apenas se tiverem comparecido a pelo menos um dos elementos de AC. Os estudantes podem aprovar a uma das componentes e conservar essa nota, sendo-lhes exigido que realizem prova de exame correspondente à componente sem aprovação em AC; a nota final considerará a proporcionalidade prevista para cada componente. Os estudantes podem decidir não conservar a nota da componente com aprovação em AC, voltando a ser avaliados a ambas; as classificações obtidas na AC deixam de ser consideradas na classificação em exame. A melhoria de classificação é efetuada através da realização de exame que abarca a totalidade dos conteúdos programáticos.
