Kinetic Evolution: Transition from static design to motion; historical analysis from pioneers to dynamic branding and contemporary title design. Typography and Temporal Grids: Kinetic typography (expressiveness and legibility on screen) and the transition of identity systems and editorial grids to the timeline. Colour and Dynamic Composition: Advanced use of chromatics, contrast, and depth to guide visual attention within the two-dimensional and three-dimensional screen space. Practice and Workflow (After Effects): Importing vectors (Illustrator) and images; 2D/3D composition techniques; virtual cameras; masking; and motion tracking processes. Principles of Animation: Practical application of fundamental principles (such as Squash/Stretch, Slow In/Out, Arcs, Exaggeration) and speed curve editing to bring rhythm, fluidity, and conceptual weight to visual messages.

Objectives
Objectives
This course aims to equip graphic design students with the technical, aesthetic, and conceptual skills to transpose the fundamental principles of two-dimensional design - such as grids, hierarchy, and identity systems - into the spatio-temporal dimension of movement and sound. Students develop a sensitivity to rhythm, fluidity, and temporal composition, enabling them to balance typography, colour, and vectors on screen. Learning is consolidated through two practical projects: first, the Animated Poster (individual), which challenges students to deconstruct and kinetically reinterpret a paradigmatic poster from graphic design history, accentuating its grid and conceptual intent through motion; second, the Infographic Video (group), focused on information design, where they create a dynamic visual narrative to simplify complex concepts or data, applying graphic synthesis, brand consistency, and visual rhythm.

Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies
The course adopts Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Project-Based Learning methodologies, centering the pedagogical process on the student and on real-world visual communication challenges. The curriculum simulates a professional studio environment, fostering teamwork, shared art direction, and project management skills through the development of the infographic video. Concurrently, the animated poster project encourages research and information literacy by requiring the historical-visual deconstruction of reference works. Self-directed learning and critical thinking are incentivised, empowering students to autonomously utilize specialised tutorials to resolve technical issues and workflow optimisations. The process culminates in collective critique sessions, developing oral and written communication skills in justifying aesthetic decisions, self-assessment, and the practical application of concepts.
