This course involves planning, producing, and implementing a documentary film, encouraging students to explore the role of animated images as a means of investigating the world around them/uniquely expressing reality as perceived by them. Through group work, the aim is to question the possibilities offered by cinema, in its animated forms, also in conveying stories/feelings/sensations, directly or indirectly experienced by them, as starting points. work will be supported by documentary, journalistic, or pedagogical strategies, but always original, on what surrounds us, using animation as a mediating element between constructed discourse and reality. The combination of techniques is encouraged. During this semester, the students shall learn to go from idea to project development and leading to producing a finished film. The relationship between the chosen theme and the end film must be comprehensible and cinematic, whilst respecting the personal views demonstrated by the groups.
