This course is aimed at understanding the mediation processes that involve the nature of diplomacy, both in its institutional aspects of the State, and in relation to practices in the ordinary, corporate, International Organizations, or NGOs world. For the European Studies diploma, the discipline has clear importance, since it is aimed at interfaces with Europe in its various interactions, whose institutional models depend on conciliation.

Objectives
Objectives
The UC Multilateralism and Negotiation addresses both the concepts developed in the context of conflict resolution theory, game theory and cooperation theory, as well as the observation of good practices in the environment of international relations. The discipline is also guided by the research of models and the characterization of typologies crossing the literature with the experiences collected throughout. Learning Objectives: 1. Understand the debate between conflict and cooperation. 2. Understand the dynamics associated with the peaceful resolution of disputes and the components of multilateral arrangements in their various forms. 3. Apply knowledge in case studies where it is possible to observe transits of dispute or conflict resolution. 4. Analyze the performance of international institutions and actors with regard to the peaceful resolution of disputes. 5. Assess the participation of international institutions or organizations in configuring the relevant system and subsystems.

A avaliacao e feita a partir de um Portfolio desenvolvido ao longo do curso e entregue na semana 14 , via Plataforma Moodle, segundo a seguinte estrutura:
- Ensaio teórico (Versão final) que relacione os textos referentes às semanas 1, 4, 7, 10, 13. Inclusão de rascunhos solicitados ao longo e evidências presentes no moodle. 30%
- Lista de atividades realizadas em sala com evidencias de sua participacao (prints do moodle, fotos da atividade, prints dos resultados, etc.) + análise de skills desenvolvidos, desafios, como superou barreiras tecnicamente. 30%
- Timeline com todas as contrinuições individuais para o trabalho em grupo (semanas 3, 6, 9, 12). Relato de participacao individual no trabalho + Resultado final do trabalho. 30%
- Autoavaliacao do aluno - sobre a sua partiicpação, incluindo a frequência nas aulas, sua performance, suas dificuldades e desafios, seu desenvolvimento, os skills desenvolvidos, os atributos positivos e a desenvolver. 10%
