  • Objectives

    Objectives

    Enable the student to master information and communication technologies as a tool for reflection, planning and evaluation of their practices and for their personal and professional development, through an active, cooperative learning process in which each student becomes responsible for mastering and teaching peers one of: reading, writing, editing and layout of scientific documents; online research and selection of scientific documents; critical and ethical use of artificial intelligence tools; creation and analysis of digital forms; use of data tables, formulas and charts in spreadsheets; and preparation of effective oral presentations. Students are also expected to develop collaborative work, learning autonomy and scientific communication skills by acting as peer-tutors for at least one content block.
  • Teaching methodologies

    Teaching methodologies

    The curricular unit works as a peer-teaching research-initiation lab, structured in 5 content blocks. Groups are formed in the first class and each student becomes responsible for one block, studying, applying and then teaching it to their group; each block is assessed at the end of its period through self- and peer-assessment. In the final group presentation, questions on all blocks are randomly drawn for each member, ensuring individual verification of learning across the whole assignment. Students have access on Moodle to Philix, the university's AI assistant, and to the Mentoring Programme, available to support students with greater difficulties.

    Assessment

    Avaliação Contínua (requer 70% das presenças nas horas de contato):

    Descrição

    Datas

    Ponderação

    Avaliação de blocos - professor + heteroavaliação entre pares no Moodle, no final de cada bloco de conteúdos (Semanas 3, 5, 6, 9 e 10). Critérios e rubricas no documento "Critérios, Rubricas e Tutorial Moodle - Avaliação de Blocos".

    (prova teórica-prática)

    Ao longo do semestre, nas datas de encerramento de cada bloco(consultar planeamento semanal) 40%
    Apresentação final do trabalho de grupo, com discussão individual por sorteio de perguntas sobre os diferentes blocos (Semana 12) A data de apresentação será anunciada na 1ª aula e confirmada no Moodle. 60%

    A classificação final da avaliação contínua é calculada pela média ponderada das duas componentes (igual ou superior a 9.5 valores para aprovação). Cada uma das componentes de avaliação (avaliação de blocos e apresentação final do trabalho de grupo) deve também obter, individualmente, uma classificação igual ou superior a 9.5 valores.;

    NOTAS:

    1. caso um estudante não obtenha aproveitamento no trabalho de grupo (média final inferior a 9.5 valores), realiza uma 2ª chamada (avaliação de recuperação individual) na última semana do semestre (Semana 15), incidindo sobre os blocos de conteúdos em que não demonstrou domínio suficiente.
    2. caso o estudante seja repetente e não disponha de horário para frequentar as aulas no processo de avaliação contínua, o seu regime passa a tutorial e a avaliação será realizada pela apresentação final do trabalho de grupo, sem prejuízo da realização da prova de recuperação (se se aplicar).

    Avaliação por Exame:

    1. Prova teórica-prática realizada num computador da Universidade, sobre os 5 blocos de conteúdos.;

    2. Prova oral (se prova a classificação anterior for igual ou superior a 9.5 valores)

    O estudante terá que ter pelos menos 9.5 valores em cada parâmetro para poder ser considerado o cálculo da média final do Exame.

    A calendarização será disponibilizada, pela Direção do Curso, via Moodle, nos Recursos Gerais
