Objectives
Objectives
This curricular unit aims to provide an understanding of inferential statistics, addressing the general linear models. For a better adaptation of the program to the heterogeneity of the target population of this Cycle of Studies, the simplest linear statistical models will be approached, progressively deepening to more complex models. In a TP approach, theoretical concepts will be introduced using practical examples. Students should be able to understand the logic behind the various statistical analyzes and apply them, recognizing and testing alternative hypotheses.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
The course, with TP classes, has an eminently applied component, where students apply the theoretical skills acquired through practical activities (conduction, analysis and discussion of the applied analytical procedures). Whenever possible, studies published in scientific journal in the field using the specific statistical models and data analysis techniques will be presented.
