    Objectives

This course aims to promote the acquisition of knowledge and skills with regard specifically to technologies and processes (technical and aesthetic) associated with mixing and mastering practices. The discipline also allows to develop and enhance creativity, either in the capacity to innovate and deepen strategies in the consolidation of musical and audiovisual projects, or through the ability to critically analyze communication strategies and understand the role of sound in the context of the media arts. In this regard, the master's students must demonstrate autonomy both in the domain of the mixing and mastering processes of musical and audiovisual projects or in the development of innovative / creative strategies and solutions that add value to the state of the art in the field of specialization.

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

The course is organized according to theoretical oral presentation sessions in order to consolidate theoretical-practical knowledge around mixing and mastering techniques. These sessions are supported through audiovisual projection equipment and sound reproduction systems. Theoretical-practical classes are taught in a studio context, both in the context of music mixing or in audio post-production for audiovisuals. Students have unlimited access to post-production rooms to consolidate production projects. Bibliographic materials to support the study and complementary information associated with the operation of classes are made available through the e-Learning platform Moodle. The practical sessions will mostly be taught in a recording studio context.
