The Thesis Curricular Unit 2 follows on from the Thesis Curricular Unit 1 and proposes to create pedagogical and scientific conditions for the individual work of carrying out the thesis of the students.
The Curricular Unit of Thesis 2 is based on teaching individual guidance in a tutorial way with a view to the elaboration of an individual thesis, in the field of Advanced Studies in Architecture, leading to the obtaining of a Doctor of Architecture degree by the Lusophone University of Humanities and Technologies.
This Curricular Unit seeks to develop, in an introductory way, a systematic approach to the themes previously listed, which unfold by the following topics: - Documentary Sources - Methodology and Work Tools; - Processes and Products in Architecture; - Rules and Models in Architecture; - Treatment, Systematization, Archive and Information Consultation.

Objectives
Objectives
The Curricular Unit of Thesis 2 aims to deepen and substantiate the framework of scientific research in the field of knowledge theory and philosophy of science, establishing mediations with the specific work of each doctoral student, as well as conducting the developments of the work leading to the completion of the Thesis Project, presented at the end of the Curricular Unit period to be evaluated before a jury.
The objective is to promote the development of investigations and promote the acquisition of writing skills, structuring the Thesis and writing the various parts that compose it, such as abstracts, index, chapters, conclusion and bibliography.
It also seeks to promote practices and development of skills for oral presentation of scientific content and scientific discussion and argumentation, structuring and developing integral parts of the thesis.
