Seminary Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics: The Future of Airport Management

This event aims to foster connections between students, alumni, faculty, companies, and professionals, focusing on Industrial Engineering and Management. In a setting dedicated to training, experience sharing, and networking, the sessions will offer a variety of activities that will highlight the crucial role of the Industrial Management Engineer in technological innovation and the efficient management of various industrial sectors.

We will explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI), neural networks, and image analysis are revolutionising the turn-around process of aircraft at airports. We will discuss how advanced technologies, such as AI applied to image analysis, enable monitoring and accelerating ground operations, ensuring greater efficiency and safety during the time the aircraft remains on the ground. Furthermore, we will look into the importance of using real-time data to optimise baggage processing. Real-time data analysis not only improves operational efficiency but also reduces errors, delays, and costs associated with the baggage process, providing a smoother experience for passengers and a more predictable operation for airlines. We will present real-life cases and showcase software that is already functioning and optimising the daily operations of various airports worldwide.
