Workshop TecWeb 2025 – The Future is Now

Lusófona University – Lisbon University Centre will host, from 17th to 21st March 2025, the 19th edition of TecWeb, an annual event organised by DEISI – Department of Computer Engineering and Information Systems. This hybrid event brings together students, companies, and faculty members for a week full of innovative activities aimed at promoting the sharing of knowledge, experiences, and technological advancements.

During TecWeb 2025, the academic and business communities will have the opportunity to participate in interactive and formative sessions, organised across various sectors. The Business Academies will bring to Lusófona University renowned names from the tech sector, such as PDMFC, CGI Portugal, Outsystems, Stratesys, Totalstor, QuidGest, SAS, BeyondVision, and Light Fossil. These sessions will take place both at the university and in the participating companies, providing a rich and diverse experience for attendees.

The Lusófona Academy will feature a dynamic programme consisting of workshops, lectures, and debates on the most current and disruptive topics in the tech field, led by DEISI faculty members. Highlights include the Cody Programming Competition, a challenge for future IT talents, and presentations by DEISI students, who will showcase their projects and academic dynamics, demonstrating the impact of their training at Lusófona University. There will also be opportunities to hear from alumni, who will share their experiences and the importance of the education they received at Lusófona.

This event aims not only to foster knowledge exchange among participants but also to strengthen partnerships between academia and the business sector, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in promoting quality education, innovation and infrastructure, as well as economic growth and decent work.
