Webinar The Link - The Connection Between Cruelty to Animals and Domestic Violence

The Animal Ombudsperson, in collaboration with Lusófona University, will co-host the event "The Link 2024" online on 27 September 2024. This event will highlight the connection between animal cruelty and violence among people, including domestic violence. The conference will address an innovative topic: the adaptation of shelters so that victims of domestic violence can live safely with their companion animals.

To attend the event, it will be possible to access the online broadcast in Portuguese and English through the digital platforms of the Animal Ombudsperson, with the broadcast available on the official website and Facebook.

The event is supported by several entities and aims to raise awareness about the importance of creating conditions that ensure the safety of people and animals in at-risk situations.
