Organised by final-year students from the Bachelor's Degree in Social Work at Lusófona University - Porto University Centre, this open class will feature Dr Ana Costa, Social Worker at APPACDM - Associação Portuguesa de Pais e Amigos do Cidadão Deficiente Mental de Portalegre. The event aims to deepen knowledge about the inclusion of individuals with intellectual disabilities, addressing the role of the social worker in this process. Dr Ana Costa will present APPACDM's responses to the needs of this population, the interventions of the social worker, and the main challenges faced in the practice of Social Work.
