    Presentation

The Course seeks to respond to new offers from the audiovisual industry in national and international terms, which today constitute the main job market for actors. These new markets include national and, above all, international cinema and television opportunities provided by new platforms. If historically professional opportunities took place in the context of theatre (entry into structures and/or companies), in recent years these opportunities have arisen mainly in the context of cinema and audiovisual. Therefore, we understand that it is necessary to reconfigure skills acquisition models with these new markets in mind. This is, therefore, a Course that seeks to occupy an unfilled space in the context of university training provision. In this context, it also seeks to combine the academic context with the professional context.

Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired

Students will be equipped with skills to deal with the new challenges of representation, whose job market is increasingly based in the areas of cinema, television and audiovisual. In this sense, they will develop specific skills in the (mostly) context of interpretation for cinema and television, without forgetting the area of theater as a fundamental basis for the interpretation processes. Knowledge of the cinema area, the audiovisual sector and the arts in general, complement technical level training. The course combines a strong practical component with a solid theoretical training component in the field of arts and their relationship with digital technologies (in the context of Communication Science). It is also intended that students are endowed with autonomy in their carrying out individual projects and recognizing the requirements necessary to manage your career in the prospective markets.
