Presentation
Presentation
The general objective of this optional curricular unit focuses on the study of cinema as a social and artistic phenomenon, aiming to provide students with film literacy (BFI, 2011), one of the components of contemporary media literacy whose importance is most asserted, in a time when the world reaches 'prosumer' students in a mostly audiovisual way. Reinforcing the development of skills for decoding and interpreting audiovisual language cannot be done without knowledge of its construction over time, following the main forms of cinema history.

Teaching methodologies
Teaching methodologies
Active, learner-centered methodologies focused on immediate critical analysis will be used: * Research Based Learning (RBL): A constructivist methodology where learning is developed through autonomous research conducted by students (optionally using IAGen for research). This research feeds into discussions on Moodle and complements the historical-aesthetic framework provided by the teacher, theoretically grounding the film analyses produced. * Exploratory Film Analysis Method: Weekly practical application through analytical viewing in the classroom, followed by reflective discussion in a large group and individual systematization through writing.
