Class Law of Obligations II

  • Presentation

    Presentation

Along with the scientific-pedagogical dimension that is stressed in the first semester (The Law of Obligations I), a practical concern is also in mind. The law of obligations is a very broad field. Even though we have set aside Contracts in Special (Title II of the Book II of the Civil Code), the topics included in the General Part of The Law of Obligations (Title I) are hardly dealt with in full detail. Our concern is one of leaving behind no gaps.

  • Objectives

    Objectives

It`s intended that the students may know and manage the basic concepts of all the chapters of de General Part of the Law of obligations. On the other hand, we seek to familiarize students with the rules of the main contracts and other important legislation outside the Civil Code, and this we do mainly by means of examples that may illustrate the different rules.
  • Teaching methodologies

    Teaching methodologies

Students with special status provided for by law or regulation that exempts them from mandatory class attendance, but who wish to be covered by the continuous assessment regime, must inform the course professor as soon as they become aware of this fact, but always with 90 days' notice before the end of classes, so that the professor can define another form of work or support, which may include the completion of a written assignment, presentation of reports, and/or an oral exam.
