    1. Brief Introduction to Aesthetics 2. Reflection on the Heideggerian perspective on the “hut”; 3. Deleuzian framework regarding the space of inhabitation; 4. The Space of Zizek’s “apartment”. A psychoanalytic perspective on domestic space 5. Understand the impact of sound on defining living space. 6. The different participatory processes in the “construction” of a better habitat; 7. Qualities and categorizations of the designed and/or built housing; 8. cinema and housing. 9. Communication and Presentation of Results at the Final Exhibition

    Objectives

    Through an aesthetic and sociological approach to the condition of living: (i) Promote, in the first part of the semester, a theoretical reflection on the topic; (ii) Provide, in the second part of the semester, presentations and debates with guests, broadening students' horizons by confronting them with the perspectives of users and thinkers on housing.

    Teaching methodologies

    Teaching in a workshop/seminar environment, with lectures and film presentations. Assessment: 1. Final Work presented at the exhibition (60%); 2. Oral presentation of the final work (20%); 3. Participation in class discussions: (20%) Attendances below 75% make it impossible to use the continuous assessment system, with great importance being placed on attendance. Below 50% makes it impossible to apply for the 2nd Season exam.
