The dissertation is the culmination of the learning process carried out throughout the 2nd cycle and in which students, who are candidates for master's degrees, seek to demonstrate their ability to apply the knowledge acquired during the teaching component and to analyze a specific topic in their area of training in a critical and independent manner.

Syllabus
This is a tutorial seminar course, so there is no pre-defined syllabus. The topics to be discussed in the seminars will be defined according to the specific research needs and interests of the master's students.

Objectives
Objectives
The Dissertation UC aims to support master's students in the process of developing their dissertation. To this end, tutorial sessions will be held to help students 1) monitor their own learning and develop strategies conducive to the success of their training; 2) plan the tasks inherent in the development of their research work; 3) promote student motivation and self-determination in the teaching-learning process; 4) facilitate communication with the assigned supervisors.

Teaching methodologies and assessment
Teaching methodologies and assessment
The course follows a teaching-learning methodology that is accompanied by and centered on the development of the students' research projects. In this sense, group sharing and discussion sessions will be held, which may be complemented by individual sessions, in order to respond to specific student problems/needs.
