Postgraduation Ensino em Contextos Multilinguísticos e Multiculturais

The Graduate Program in Teaching in Multilingual and Multicultural Contexts addresses the challenges posed by the growing linguistic, cultural, and social diversity in Portuguese schools. Designed for teachers of all subject areas, it prepares participants to create inclusive learning environments, adapt teaching and assessment strategies, develop instructional resources, and promote the participation and educational success of all students. The program addresses the role of language in learning different subjects, intercultural mediation, diversity management, and collaboration among schools, families, and the community, combining recent research with a strong practical component.

Candidates holding a bachelor¿s degree or higher academic degree in the fields of education or other scientific fields relevant to teaching are eligible to apply. Other candidates with an academic, scientific, or professional background deemed relevant by the graduate program coordination may also be admitted, in accordance with applicable regulations.

The assessment emphasizes a continuous approach, incorporating participation in classroom activities, individual and group assignments, case studies, the development of teaching resources, and the design of intervention projects applied to real-world educational contexts. Each course module defines its own assessment tools in accordance with the learning objectives.
