The postgraduate programme in Political Psychology integrates the disciplinary fields of Political Science and Psychology. It involves the study of basic behavioural phenomena and the phenomena of political action, participation and decision-making. Psychology focuses on the basic processes of human behaviour and group and social dynamics, while Political Science focuses on the basic principles and mechanisms that regulate political and social processes. This proposal offers a specialised training course through a body of knowledge that is useful in both a professional and academic context. In the professional sphere, it discusses the framework of political participation and the exercise of power, promoting ways of understanding, interpreting and intervening. In the academic sphere, it focuses on the theoretical foundations for achieving a technical understanding of these political phenomena, using the conceptual systems of Psychology and Political Science. This postgraduate programme is designed to provide excellent training for professionals who work, or intend to work, in various fields, such as politics, business, journalism and academia.
