Academic Integrity and the use of Artificial Intelligence Instruments

The Lusófona University, through its academic and administrative bodies, approved in a joint order the document “Lusófona University - Academic Integrity and the use of Artificial Intelligence Instruments”, dated November 23, 2023, which contains the procedure and actions to be adopted by Teachers, whether they allow the use of Artificial Intelligence tools, or when they do not authorize it.

ULusófona's position is based on the reflection carried out, from the perspective of adopting procedures and actions, with a view to ensuring the truth and transparency of the certification of the acquisition of knowledge and skills by students, considering the challenges posed by Artificial Intelligence in teaching, in general and higher education, in particular and the increasing, open access to Artificial Intelligence tools and the need to safeguard academic integrity.
