Lusófona University – Lisbon University Centre hosted the conference "Pedagogical Innovation in Higher Education: Impact, Sustainability and Institutional Transformation" on 25 May, organised through the CECAM and INOVEDU projects. The event brought together lecturers, researchers, academic leaders, and experts from a range of higher education institutions.

The conference encouraged reflection on the challenges of pedagogical innovation, driven by investments under Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), highlighting the importance of interinstitutional collaboration in developing more effective, inclusive, and sustainable educational practices.

Throughout the day, plenary sessions, panel discussions, and parallel sessions provided opportunities to share experiences developed within the CECAM and INOVEDU consortia. Topics included teaching excellence, academic staff development, active learning methodologies, digital learning environments, mentoring programmes, and peer learning.

The programme also featured the presentation of the Best Pedagogical Innovation Practice Award and concluded with a closing session reflecting on the future of both consortia and their contribution to the institutional transformation of higher education.
