
Open Day at ULusófona: Students Explore Courses and Academic Environment
Dynamic workshops in Biology, Tourism, International Relations and the Arts reveal career opportunities

On 24 April, Lusófona University welcomed secondary school students for another edition of the Open Day – an opportunity to explore different undergraduate degrees and experience firsthand the academic environment of Lusófona University – Lisbon University Centre.
The event featured a series of workshops highlighting the wide range of study areas available at the institution. The Bachelor’s in Biology led the workshop "Development, Evolution and Adaptation: Mechanisms and Environmental Responses", where participants explored fundamental principles of biology, understanding how organisms adapt to their environment and evolve over time.
The Bachelor’s in Tourism delivered the session "Tourism at Lusófona! The Answer to Your Calling!", which provided a comprehensive insight into the opportunities within this area, from the economic impact of tourism to the various career paths that this dynamic sector offers.
For those interested in politics and international relations, the Bachelor’s in European Studies and International Relations organised the workshop "Discover the Future in Europe", offering a practical perspective on key topics concerning the European Union. Participants were inspired by real-life stories of integration and European mobility, gaining a better understanding of the opportunities this academic path can offer.
For aspiring actors, the Bachelor’s in Acting – Film, Television and Theatre provided a hands-on experience with the workshop "Short Scenes for Film and Television with Recording", allowing participants to step into the shoes of professionals in the audiovisual industry.
Through these activities, Lusófona University continues to foster direct contact between prospective students and higher education, supporting them in exploring their interests and building their academic and professional futures.
