The men's futsal team became national champions last Friday, 11 April, in Coimbra, beating the home team 4-3 in a thrilling game that was played until the last second of extra time.
With this victory, as well as winning the long-awaited national title, the team also secured qualification for the European Championship, which will be held in the city of Zagreb in Croatia, where they will represent Portugal among the best on the continent.
Players, coaching staff and fans celebrated effusively at the end of the match, with the trophy being lifted in a moment of great pride and emotion for everyone involved.
