On the 5th and 6th of December, the 4th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Research (ICAIR) took place in Lisbon, organised by Universidade Lusófona. This prestigious event brought together researchers, academics, and professionals in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) from around the world.

The conference, integrated into the global AI research agenda, featured a diverse programme, including expert lectures, scientific paper presentations, panel discussions, and interactive workshops. The topics covered ranged from advancements in natural language processing and machine learning to AI ethics and regulation, as well as its applications in areas such as healthcare, education, and industry.

Among the highlights, the opening and closing lectures were delivered by internationally renowned figures who shared insights into the impact of AI on the future of society and the challenges associated with its rapid evolution.

Participants also had the opportunity to interact and share knowledge in a collaborative environment, fostering partnerships and projects that have the potential to shape the future of technology. ICAIR reaffirmed its role as a platform for scientific and technological exchange, solidifying Lisbon’s position as a key city in the global discussion on Artificial Intelligence.
