Universidade Lusófona once again celebrated the talent, creativity, and academic journey of students from the Department of Cinema and Media Arts (DCAM) with another edition of Over & Out, held from 6 to 9 July under the theme "Community".
Over several days, the initiative brought together students, academics, researchers, staff members, families, and guests across different cultural venues, promoting the sharing of projects and strengthening the sense of community that defines ULusófona.
The opening session took place at the Navy Museum, featuring the presentation of projects developed in the areas of Visual Arts, Fashion Design and Production, Communication Design, and Photography. For the first time, Over & Out also extended to the Porto University Centre, with a session held at the Batalha Centro de Cinema, where films produced by students from the Lisbon and Porto university centres were screened.
On 7 and 8 July, the Cinema Fernando Lopes hosted the screening of projects developed by students. The programme also included works from the international programmes FilmMemory, Kino Eyes, and Re:Anima, reinforcing Universidade Lusófona’s international dimension and its commitment to academic and artistic cooperation.
The closing ceremony took place at the Cinema São Jorge, bringing together the academic community to celebrate the work developed throughout the academic year. During the ceremony, students’ projects were recognised with an award specially created for this edition, highlighting the quality, dedication, and creativity demonstrated.
With another edition of Over & Out, Universidade Lusófona reinforces its commitment to excellence in education, creating spaces for creativity, experimentation, and sharing that value students’ talent and the involvement of the entire academic community.
