Faculty of Law is a member of the European Law Faculties Association

The Faculty of Law at Universidade Lusófona was certified as a full member of the prestigious European Law Faculties Association (ELFA) on 19 April 2026, in Bilbao, enjoying all the rights, honours and privileges associated with this status.

This recognition reflects the acknowledged quality of our Faculty within the European academic landscape in the field of law, making it the first private higher education institution in Portugal to receive this distinction.

“The European Law Faculties Association (ELFA) was founded to enhance the quality of legal education in Europe by providing a platform for discussion and the exchange of ideas. The aim of ELFA’s activities is to coordinate the process of reforming legal education in Europe by introducing new topics, promoting cooperation among European universities, and representing law faculties before European institutions, national educational bodies, and associations of lawyers and prosecutors.”
