My Name is Alfred Hitchcock

Don't miss Mark Cousins' latest feature film, My Name is Alfred Hitchcock, premiering on 16 November.

2022 marks the centenary of Alfred Hitchcock's first feature film. A century later, Hitchcock remains one of the most influential directors in the history of cinema. How does his vast repertoire of films and his legacy endure in today's society?

Mark Cousins, the award-winning filmmaker behind "The Story of Film: An Odyssey", "The Eyes of Orson Welles" and "The Story of Film: A New Generation", examines the auteur and his legacy through a radical new approach: using the filmmaker's own voice. As Hitchcock re-watches his own films, we are taken, in an entertaining and revealing way, on an odyssey through his vast career - the vivid silent films, the legendary films of the 1950s and 1960s to his later works.
