The session of the Great Artists on Campus #5 cycle dedicated to Carlos Bunga took place on 16 February 2026, between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm, at Cinema Fernando Lopes, at Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre. The event was held exclusively in person and was organised by CECAM and ECATI.

During the conference, Carlos Bunga presented his artistic trajectory and the evolution of a process-centred practice encompassing sculpture, painting, drawing, video and, above all, site-specific installations. Frequently working with everyday materials such as cardboard and adhesive tape, the artist explored concepts such as construction and deconstruction, permanence and ephemerality, as well as the relationship between memory and imagination.

His international exhibitions and the recognition achieved throughout his career were also addressed, including awards and appearances at major museum institutions. The session provided Cinema and Media Arts students with direct contact with an artistic approach that intersects space, materiality and contemporary critical reflection.
