
Innovate & Train II – The Future of Higher Education
ULusófona project aims to contribute to improving the quality of the training offer and increasing the number of higher education graduates
05.06.23 - 12h22Based on the needs identified in terms of dropout and school failure exacerbated by the impact of the pandemic triggered by COVID-19, and also with reference to the requirements of the first year of academic life, Operation Inovar & Capacitar II, approved under the POCH - Human Capital Operational Program, reinforces the objectives of Inovar & Train I, by triggering existing support mechanisms for situations of school failure, as well as raising awareness among students of the 1st year of the 1st Cycle of Studies for greater involvement in the learning process, by bringing teachers closer together to your needs and the implementation of a Digital Tutor - Philix.
In more specific terms, the Project aims to prevent and combat school dropout in the 1st year of initial training at Lusófona University - Porto University Centre, improve student performance, promote their integration into the environment academic and promote the development of soft skills, towards a sense of well-being and belonging.
For this purpose, the Project contemplates the implementation of the following activities, which are clearly interconnected in order to achieve the intended results in terms of reducing dropout and academic failure, favoring a set of preventive measures, namely:

- Activity 2 – Digital Tutoring for 1st Year Students (Philix Program)
- Activity 3 – Peer Mentoring for Students
