The scientific journal JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments) has just launched a new international Methods Collection dedicated to artificial intelligence in medical imaging, curated by Professor Tiago Cunha Reis, Director of the Bachelor's Degree in Computational Biomedicine and Artificial Intelligence.

Entitled "Artificial Intelligence in Clinical Imaging: Reproducible Methods for Diagnosis and Decision Support", the collection aims to bring together reproducible, visually documented, and clinically relevant methodological protocols in the fields of radiology, ultrasound, digital pathology, and multimodal data fusion.

JoVE is a peer-reviewed scientific journal renowned for its innovative video-article format and indexed in major databases such as PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and EMBASE.

This collection stands out for its focus on clearly documenting methods with real clinical applicability, contributing to the safe integration of artificial intelligence in medical practice.

The call is open for submissions in three article types:

  • Method Articles: step-by-step descriptions of validated pipelines;
  • Research Articles: original studies with a strong methodological component;
  • Case Reports: illustrative clinical cases of AI applications in medical imaging.

Video production of the articles is handled by the JoVE team at no additional cost, with special conditions available for early-career authors and institutions with limited funding.

This initiative represents a significant opportunity for faculty, researchers, and students interested in medical AI, health data science, and computational imaging.
