Professor António Tavares has been awarded the Porto City Medal of Merit by the Porto City Council.
The award ceremony took place on 9 July at Porto City Hall as part of the municipality's annual honours ceremony, which recognises individuals and organisations for their outstanding contribution to the city.
This distinction acknowledges António Tavares's distinguished career and his longstanding commitment to Porto through his contributions to the city's civic, social and institutional life.
