Project LEAF receives Erasmus+ Good Practice recognition
International project Lifelong Learning for Sustainability: From Campus to Daily Life promotes education, innovation and more sustainable practices
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
We are proud to announce that the international project Lifelong Learning for Sustainability: From campus to daily life (LEAF) has received the "Good Practice" distinction from the Erasmus+ programme.
About the Project
The project's main objective is to raise awareness of sustainability and encourage the adoption of everyday habits that help mitigate climate change. To achieve this, it adopts an inclusive approach focused on self-directed learning and knowledge acquisition, seeking to turn environmental awareness into concrete action.
Its implementation is based on three main pillars:
- Lifelong learning: development of a modular e-certification programme featuring interactive presentations, learning materials and animated videos.
- Ongoing engagement with sustainability: development of a mobile app featuring a carbon footprint calculator, daily tips, educational quizzes and challenges that encourage active participation.
- Promoting sustainable behaviours: provision of practical tools that support the adoption of more sustainable lifestyles and strengthen environmental responsibility.
In this way, the project seeks to help address environmental challenges and climate change through innovative teaching and learning practices that promote knowledge acquisition and behavioural change.
The main results achieved by our project were:
- "Changing for Sustainability" e-Certification Programme: comprehensive educational content designed to promote behavioural change.
- "LEAF Life" mobile app: a digital solution that strengthens individual responsibility through gamification.
- Implementation tools and scalable content: guided resources that turn awareness into concrete action.
- International collaboration and collective intelligence.
Coordination
The LEAF project, coordinated by Eskişehir Technical University in partnership with Lusófona University (Portugal) and AIJU - Technological Institute for Children's Products and Leisure (Spain), has been successfully completed, achieving its objective of integrating sustainability awareness into everyday life.
