Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
The fourth edition of the international conference Bio.Natural 2025 took place on 14 and 15 July, in a hybrid format, hosted by Lusófona University – University Centre of Lisbon, and brought together researchers from around the world to share ideas and present the latest scientific advances in the field of natural products.
Organised by CBIOS – Research Centre for Biosciences and Health Technologies, the event featured the participation of several researchers who presented studies on the use of natural products in various areas, namely in the discovery of new medicines, in oncological diseases, infectious diseases, and other approaches to the development of therapeutic options.
Given the growing interest in natural products, the use of marine, herbal and mineral materials as active ingredients in cosmetics and medical devices, as well as the focus on foods and supplements of natural origin, were widely debated among participants, taking into account their high potential and the evidence pointing to significant benefits for human health.
