Social Work lecturers take part in the International Congress of Lusophony

Professor Hélia Brácons, Professor Nelson Ramalho and Professor Jacqueline Marques from the Institute of Social Work of Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre took part in the International Congress of Lusophony, Public Policies and Social Work, under the theme “Democracy, Social Justice and Sustainability”, held at the University of Coimbra, Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, between 13 and 15 May 2026.

The event brought together national and international experts for discussions on the contemporary challenges of public policies and Social Work in the Lusophone space, fostering critical reflection and the sharing of academic and professional experiences.

The participation of the teaching team stood out for the relevance of their contributions and for strengthening academic cooperation networks in the Lusophone context, contributing to consolidating the role of Social Work in promoting social justice and sustainability.
