ULusófona researcher at CISTI 2024: Highlight in Salamanca
Conceição Costa presents innovative research at information technology conference
26.06.24 - 16h22Conceição Costa, associate professor at Universidade Lusófona, principal researcher at CICANT - Centre for Research in Applied Communication, Culture, and New Technologies, and Portuguese coordinator of EPIC-WE - Empowered Participation through Ideating Cultural Worlds and Environments, a Horizon Europe project, presented a paper at the European Parliament's19th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies - CISTI to be held between 25 and 28 June 2024 at the University of Salamanca in Spain. The purpose of this conference is to share knowledge, new perspectives and innovation in the field of Information Systems and Technologies, with all accepted articles being indexed in WoS, Scopus, EI, INSPEC and Google Scholar.
With the title "Game Jams and Game-making with a Societal and Cultural Agenda for Youth - a 20-year Systematic Literature Review", the article, presented during the morning of the first day, explores the role of video games and of game jams to encourage young people's participation and involvement with, through and for culture. The theme is in line with the aim of the EPIC-WE project, which focuses on developing new models and design kits for cultural collaboration, empowering young people's participation in the cultural world.
