Alina Petukhova, researcher at COPELABS - Cognitive and People-Centred Computing Research Centre at Lusófona University, defended her doctoral thesis entitled “LLM-Based Clustering of Text Documents” on 29 September at the Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre.
The session, which started at 12h00 and lasted approximately two and a half hours, featured a panel of experts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Instituto Superior Técnico, and Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre.
The candidate was unanimously approved. The jury highlighted the scientific relevance and technical innovation of the presented work, emphasising its potential impact in the fields of Natural Language Processing and Artificial Intelligence. Some limitations of the work were also noted, which represent opportunities for further investigation in future research.
This doctorate represents the eighth thesis defended within the scope of the Doctoral Programme in Computer Science at Lusófona University - Lisbon University Centre, reinforcing the consolidation of the programme and its contribution to cutting-edge scientific production.
