“Wednesdays at Lusófona” return with a debate on people and the digital era

The lecture series “Wednesdays at Lusófona” is back!

On April 29, Universidade Lusófona – Centro Universitário Porto hosted a lecture open to the academic community, with the aim of bringing different fields of knowledge closer to the public through the participation of lecturers, specialists, and students.

The session “Beyond IoT (Internet of Things): the value of people for organisations”, presented by Catarina Gomes, Director of the Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management and Development and the Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management, explored the importance of the human factor within organisations, reflecting on the role of people in a context shaped by increasing digitalisation and technological evolution.

This event aimed to encourage the participation of students from different courses and levels of study, allowing them to discover scientific fields beyond those they usually encounter in their classes.

At the same time, it sought to demonstrate how the subjects addressed across different programmes are interconnected with one another and with everyday situations, promoting a broader understanding of knowledge and its practical application.
