Class English II

Classes are based on the student's existing knowledge of English. The manuals Business Result Pre-Intermediate and Essential Grammar in Use will be used. The syllabus will related to a professional career and working in international and multicultural environments. There will be practical classes dealing with international organizations and institutions, cultural differences, global challenges, how to deal with conflict resolution situations, make presentations, defend arguments, etc. to consolidate your oral skills. It is essential to master vocabulary on topics related to international relations and cultural differences

The syllabus aims at developing speaking, listening, writing and reading skills, through a variety of activities related to an organisational environment. The reading sections introduce a variety of authentic texts aimed at developing the ability to understand. The practice of writing builds on the work done through well-structured tasks. The main language skills will be developed through a variety of tasks (discussions, listening exercises, debates, quizzes, grammar and vocabulary revision or develop functional language). Continuous assessment a written task (20%) an oral presentation in class (20%) a written test (60%) Final assessment: written exam (100%)
