There will be practical classes dealing with international organizations and institutions, cultural differences, global challenges, how to deal with conflict resolution situations, make presentations, defend arguments, etc. to consolidate your oral skills. It is essential to master vocabulary on topics related to international relations and cultural differences

    Objectives

    The main objective of this curricular unit is to consolidate and develop linguistic knowledge to a more advanced level, with an emphasis on areas relevant to the study cycle. Students will have to understand the English language, written and oral, in everyday situations and in professional situations with a certain level of complexity. They will have to use basic vocabulary, suitable for professional contexts, and know how to distinguish between formal and informal language. They will have to use sentences with correct grammar, both in writing and orally.

    Teaching methodologies and assessment

    The syllabus aims at developing speaking, listening, writing and reading skills, through a variety of activities related to an organisational environment. The reading sections introduce a variety of authentic texts aimed at developing the ability to understand. The practice of writing builds on the work done through well-structured tasks. The main language skills will be developed through a variety of tasks (discussions, listening exercises, debates, quizzes, grammar and vocabulary revision or develop functional language).
