Presentation
This curricular unit has been designed to prepare students who need to communicate better in English at work, by teaching a range of business communication skills. At the end of the semester, students should be able to communicate confidently and effectively, either orally or in writing, in a range of business and everyday situations. Students are encouraged to apply any business knowledge and experience that they might have, as they work, through the course material. The manuals Business Result Pre-Intermediate and Essential Grammar in Use will serve as supporting teaching material. Theoretical-practical classes will address professional and organizational contexts, through topics related to the activities, structures and functioning of organizations/companies, with a focus on human resources. In this way, the aim is to adapt the UC contents to the general scope of the study cycle, with the aim of turning English into a tool for the students' professional future.
