    Objectives

    This course aims to enable second cycle students a set of theoretical-practical and analytical skills and tools for spatial planning and civil protection planning, discuss the importance and interrelation between spatial planning-civil protection and preparing the student to identify and apply tools and methodologies in the development plans emergency and its relevance in the context of civil protection activities. At the end of the course students should be able to understand and critically reflect on: the planning options and spatial planning; the importance of planning in the prevention and mitigation of natural and technological disasters; the importance of planning in post-disaster phase / relief; know and disentangle the various concepts related to planning in civil protection; know and distinguish the families of emergency plans.the organization and functioning of the Civil Protection System, as an instrument for executing and operationalizing civil protection planning.

    Teaching methodologies

    Teaching and learning are based on classroom activities and students' independent study. The pedagogical approach integrates Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Case-Based Learning, Project-Based Learning (PjBL), and Team-Based Learning (TBL). During practical classes, the lecturer presents and discusses the course contents, promoting their application to problem-solving and case analysis. Students actively participate in discussions, solve practical exercises, and complete independent assignments. Individually or in groups, they present and defend their work orally. Tutorial sessions provide guidance and support for students' learning process. Assessment includes one individual assignment and one group project, focusing on the practical application of knowledge and the development of technical, collaborative, and critical thinking skills.
